November 16, 2011 – All Hands Consulting reviews origins of National Disaster Recovery Framework
The basis for the newly released National Disaster Recovery Framework is the concept of “Recovery Support Functions” (RSFs). The original idea and concepts of RSFs was born in Cape Coral, Florida in 2001-2002. This pioneering work was the result of Rick LaValla, President of ERI International and Co-Founder and Vice President of All Hands Consulting, done under contract with the City of Cape Coral.

March 30, 2010 – All Hands Consulting is recruiting for on-call disaster response reservists
Reservists are needed to support FEMA’s response to catastrophic disasters or incidents as defined by the Stafford Act. Deployments will be on short notice for up to 30 days or longer and will require long and/or odd hours in support of emergencies and disasters. In some cases, 12 hour shifts seven-days-a week will be expected. The size and scope of the mission will vary based on the geography, scale and magnitude of damage, type of incident, impact on the national security, and the projected number of affected individuals and households, as well as the availability of resources (housing, personnel, supplies, and materials).

All-Hands Dot Net (all-hands.net), a new concept in virtual communities officially launched today.
All-Hands.net is an experiment in professional collaboration. The new site is designed as a web-based community for emergency management and continuity professionals. The new virtual community will be a fully interactive and user-supported community portal where information sharing will be both easy and open. Registered users will be able to post articles and add content to the various sections of the site. In addition, users can add files and links themselves.
